Baby names and their meaning

So, for those who don't know...my sister Sarah is having a baby in December. I remember how much fun searching for baby names was and I wanted to share some of those sites. You don't have to be having a baby to look these sites up of course, its just kind of fun to see what names mean as well.
The first Baby Names site is really fun, there is shopping, voting on names and top 10 lists. My favorite is Baby Name World. They have names from all over the world, all different orgins, different ways to spell names and they just have SO many.
A really neat thing to do once you've narrowed down a name or if you just want to see where your name ranks in the world per million people check out the Baby Name Wizard. I thought it was neat to see that Jadyn was ranked 799th in 2004. Fun little game. '
The site that helped me with ways to spell Jadyn was 123 Baby Names. That was where I found that Jadyns name means 'god has heard' and that it has a Hebrew orgin.
So whether you are having a baby or are just curious as to what you, your kids or siblings names mean. Have Fun.

80's entertainment

One night, Dom and I were having a couple of beers watching tv and we started naming off 80's movies that we liked and that were big hits back in the day.....Breakfast Club, Evil Dead, Flashdance etc...so we went searching on the net and laughed and laughed at all the movies we had forgotten about. So visit whats called the 80's movie rewind. You'll love it. It'll take you back to the days of Valley Girl and Earthgirls are Easy.

music news

I am a huge music buff. Me and Dom listen to all types of music, all the time. When I am interested in a band or a specific song I usually go to the mtv website or the vh1 website. Both of these have the latest songs/albums out by artists, it shows recent tour photos and the latest info about the artist. If you find an album that may contain the song you want but you aren't sure, go to the CDnow site and type in the album and it will give you the list of all the tracks on the cd. Along the same lines if you are interested in tours in your area I would suggest the Pollstar website. It gives dates and locations for tours as far as 2 years out. You can search by artist, city, concert name or venue. Those are just a few of the music sites I enjoy.
